Beetle Jewels

Holly Russell graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with a collection inspired by animals, minerals and outer space. Holly embroidered over one thousand Jewel Beetlewings and long strands of human hair onto the arms of garments to represent the power and size of the natural world. The results are beautiful yet interesting and combine aspects that are somewhat vulgar into being something extraordinary.

I love the MA collection of http://www.lauramackness.co.uk/, inspired by the work of Francois and Jean Robert, Jean Paul Goude, Grace Jones and basic shapes like squares, circles and triangles. The collection includes nudes and pastel colours and my particular favourites are the eyelash collar and the yellow lollypop hanging top with pink trouser print skirt.

Another obsession of mine, now and forever is Marina and the Diamonds, seen here looking beautiful in one of Laura's creations with an added burger bun. <3 <3 <3
